Our iPAD HOLDER Story
The iPad Holder came about when a close friend, the owner of Dodge Aviation Service and a pilot for 50 years, asked me if I could help create "a portable device to hold iPads or Tablets in a convenient and functional position in his Hawker 800 cockpit."
After testing several different designs and a variety of materials, we settled on the aluminum and leather
e-Chart Holder you see here.
NOTE: The name e-Chart Holder came about because the iPad is essentially taking the place of the the maps and charts pilots used to carry. Thus "E" stands for an Electronic Chart Holder
Once the final design was realized, I made two for Dodge Aviation Service and I thought that my aluminum and leather working days were over. Then other pilots saw them and realized how handy they are, and here we are
